A very upsetting match. The Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics Men Single's Badminton Finals, Lin Dan, China (World Ranked No. 1) vs. Lee Chong Wei, Malaysia (World Ranked No.2). This would have been Malaysia's only hope for a gold medal for this year's olympics. This would have resulted Malaysia's first ever gold medal in the summer olympics. It was a very good match i would honestly say. Both players gave their best but Lin Dan emerged as the winner. There was alot of pressure on Chong Wei. The first gold medal for Malaysia, the hope of 26 million Malaysians, majority of that stadium cheering for the opponent.. sigh.. I would say he played very well and carried the Malaysian flag high.
